Long Live Turquoise!

July 17, 2010
When I find something that resonates with me, I usually take a photo, or pull the image from the web and they all end up on my computer, and lately most of these images are all about TURQUOISE.
Here is a quick little post showing some of my favorite ways turquoise is being used. Now I know it has been a trending color for a few seasons, but I'm here to tell you, it is still here for a few more! Do you still love it?

If the color is still out there, the people still love it, and I think people are telling us....
.....LONG LIVE TURQUOISE!!!

And just for fun... look at what I saw here in San Francisco!

Even a small jolt of turquoise perks up a room. My favorite is the Antique Bevel picture frame in Turquoise at www.ribbit-ribbit.com! The jewel and silk ribbon make it so elegant.

Hi Bridget, You should see my Aunt Jerri's house, white with turquoise trim and all he kitchen cabinet are also turquoise and her curtains coordinate...but then again she lives on Turquoise Ave in Phoenix, so I think it is not so odd.

I LOVE turquoise!! In fact, I just painted the walls of my dining room turquoise and have been in search of perfect mens bracelets/rings/necklaces/watches made of turquoise the stone! Actually, this blog takes me back to when I was a little little little kid and my mom would ask me what my favorite color was in front of her friends, I and I would always say "TURQUOISE!!" which is a pretty big word for a toddler!! :)

Hi Bridget... I LOVE turquoise with lots of white, accents of black and chrome (and at least 1 more color (maybe yellow?) in a room or clothing.

I just found a pair of gorgeous "tall vintage 1960-70s lamps in turquoise & white ceramic w/walnut base & long thin walnut neck with tall white textured lamp shades" - both use 3 way bulbs, everything is original, at Kitty's Place at 26 West Market Street in Corning, NY 14830. Kitty Erlacher currently has several pieces of 1960-70s vintage wood furniture (LR, BR & DR) too. It's a new shop and her home phone is 607-527-3632. She also has antiques, glassware and "retired Steuben". A delightful shop that's changes constantly. Worth stopping in when in Corning, NY. If out of town, call first to be sure she'll be open.
