Five juvenile companies honored at New York gift fair

New York — Five companies received top honors in the Baby & Child division of the New York International Gift Fair, including The Wonder Forge, which was voted Blogger's Best.

The Best New Product awards, which were announced at the recently concluded gift show, are given twice a year to exhibitors in four categories - toy, décor, gear and apparel - who excel in innovation, design and style. A panel of editors from print and digital media outlets voted on more than 100 entries for these categories as well as Blogger's Best.
The winners are:
Blogger's Best: The Wonder Forge for Angelina Ballerina Dance with Me, an interactive collaborative game.
Toy: Tegu for Tegu Mobility - Dart, a wooden car with 10 classic Tegu blocks, a signature magnetic styling top and four magnetic wooden wheels.
Décor: Swankie Blankie for its Citron Marbella receiving blanket.
Gear: 7 a.m. Enfant for the Pookie poncho, a waterproof baby carrier cover and stroller cover in one.
Apparel: Zutano for Bowtie, an accessory for little boys in Zutano's signature colors.
"These winners were clear standouts in a competitive field of outstanding products in Baby & Child," said Randi Mohr, sales manager of Baby & Child. "The judges recognized design innovation and creativity, which set these products apart from all others."
This year's judges were Caroline Kennedy, Playthings; Joanne Fallon, Baby & Kids Magazine; Jennifer Cattaui, Earnshaw's; Joanna Dreifus, MyMomShops.com; and Leesa Valentino, TheGiggleGuide.com.
