Los Angeles — Wendy Schatan has joined mattress and sleep products company Nook Sleep Systems as senior vice president of sales.
Schatan, who has 13 years of sales experience, replaces Matt Genova, who has left the company.
"We are all really enthused to have Wendy join us to expand our boutique and other sales channels and to develop brand awareness, and she is already on the move," said Doug Johnston, CEO and co-founder of Nook.
Lila Walker, chief operating officer with Nook, said Schatan's experience as a mother would be an asset to the company. "Wendy brings great energy and sales experience and an added dimension of personal knowledge as a mother. We are very excited to have her join the team."
Concerning Genova's departure, Johnston said, "We want especially to thank Matt Genova for his exceptional contributions over our first two years in the establishment and development of the Nook brand. We were fortunate to have Matt here and we are disappointed by the recent news of his resignation. We all wish Matt the best in his future endeavors."
We would love your feedback!
