Dallas — The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Assn. will be helping to promote Dallas Market Center's new PB&J: The Preview for Baby & Juvenile show, to its members. The PB&J show is a joint venture with the Toy Industry Assn. aimed at mass market retailers, and is set to take place for the first time this fall and run concurrently with TIA's annual Fall Toy Preview, Oct. 2-4, on the Dallas Market Center campus.
"We welcome the support of JPMA, which has long represented the best interests of the industry," said Bill Winsor, president and CEO of Dallas Market Center.
Dallas Market Center was the long-time host of JPMA's annual trade event, in addition to managing a full calendar of trade events bringing manufacturers and retailers together.
"We are offering our assistance by promoting PB&J and the new Dallas show that is intended to offer the mass market a successful formula for better business," said Robert Waller, Jr., president of JPMA. "Dallas Market Center has a unique history and understanding of our industry that should help them create a show respected by manufacturers and decision makers from major stores. We are promoting this event to all JPMA members and mass market retailers."
JPMA Executive Director Mike Dwyer said his association is advertising PB&J to its members who may have an interest in participating, but that this does not affect JPMA's support of the ABC Expo, set to take place in Louisville just two weeks later, Oct. 14 - 17.
"JPMA endorses the ABC Show as the premier show dedicated to all channels in the juvenile products industry," said Dwyer. "This announcement does not impact JPMA's support for ongoing and open dialogue between ABC and JPMA, collaboration on industrywide strategic objectives between ABC and JPMA, or the investigation of a structure for one unified association representing all facets of the JP industry."
PB&J will offer a focused selection of baby and juvenile resources with an emphasis on furniture, bedding, gifts, décor, baby care, accessories, strollers, high chairs and nursing/feeding.
Echoing Fall Toy Preview's model, PB&J will be a by-appointment-only event that brings together vendors with mass retailers for private meetings as well as networking events. Dallas Market Center will provide meeting rooms, WiFi, special hospitality and other amenities.
We would love your feedback!
