Kids Today Staff -- Kids Today, 9/6/2011 12:59:52 PM

Townshend, VT-- Mary Meyer will take over the manufacturing and distribution of products formally made by Taggies, Inc. in the specialty retail channel, effective immediately. The company has also been named the distributor in specialty retail for Rhino Toys, maker of the popular infant ball, Oball.

Mary Meyer will manufacture and distribute the award winning Taggies balls and memory or photo cubes to specialty retailers. These items include Toss the Taggies, Taggies Colours Toss, Taggies Treasures, Taggies Colours Treasures, Touchdown Taggies Football and the Homerun Taggies Baseball.

"We've been making Taggies licensed plush toys for over five years," said Kevin Meyer, president of Mary Meyer. "We're excited be expanding our license to include these top selling designs, bringing our current Taggies line to over 40 items. By doing this, we offer our customers the convenience of working with one company for all their Taggies soft toy needs. "

The RhinoToys Oball series includes an assortment of balls in different sizes designed to provide innovative, tactile, and high-performance play.

"For 77 years Mary Meyer has been making innovative, safe, educational toys from the best materials and finest designs," said Meyer. "The Rhino Toys fit into our body of toys with their play value and quality workmanship. Rhino Toys provide tactile, active play and they're flexible, virtually indestructible and dishwasher safe -- perfect for kids. They're modern in feel, very relevant in today's market. We're happy to offer this unique product line to our Mary Meyer customers."

Rhino Toys, owned by Kids II, was founded ten years ago when a toy inventor decided to bring his unique ideas to market creating a collection of award winning toys.

Mary Meyer has created award-winning toys such as Cheery Cheeks, WubbaNubs and Flip Flops since 1939. A third generation of the Meyer family is currently at the helm of the company.
