AMERICAN SIGNATURE HAS launched a Miss Americathemed youth bedroom collection for girls.
The collection, developed by American Signature in collaboration with the nonprofit Miss America Organization, debuted in the Top 100 company's flagship Value City Furniture store here on Oct. 25. Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron hosted the event.
The 10-piece Miss America Youth Collection includes a Crowning Touch bed detailed with carved roses and a detachable signature Miss America four-point crown.
There's also a Majestic Bed with a stylized Miss America logo in the headboard and footboard, a seven-drawer dresser with dovetail construction, two chests, a bedside table option, a flip-up mirror vanity desk, an upholstered boudoir chair with a heart-shaped back and other items.
Prices will range from $229 for a nightstand to $799 for the dresser and mirror. The beds will each retail for $449. A high-heel shoe chair with storage in the toe is coming soon. More pieces will be added overtime, the retailer said.
The pieces are in a pearlized white painted finish with silver tipping, with some featuring rose-carved knobs and jewel-like accents. Elements of the crown (the four points representing service, style, scholarship and success) and the Miss America logo are incorporated throughout the collection, which is already on the stores' floors.
Art McMaster, president and CEO of the nonprofit Miss America Organization, said the new collection "has been designed for young girls who dream of being Miss America someday, and truly reflects the spirit of our pageant beautifully."
Jonathan Schottenstein, American Signature chief operating officer, said the collection is "fun and inspiring and will give young girls a room in which they can dream, imagine and grow."
The retailer, with more than 125 store in 19 states, said the "elegant and whimsical design reflects the grace and beauty of Miss America and demonstrates American Signature's commitment to style, luxury, design and quality at an affordable price."
