MARTINSVILLE, Va. - Bruce Cohenour will resign as president of Hooker Furniture Case Goods, effective today, the company has announced.
He said he intends to stay in the industry, but has not disclosed his plans.
After 12 years as a sales rep in northern Texas and Oklahoma, Cohenour joined Hooker's management team in 2007 as senior vice president of national accounts and business development. Two years later he was named executive vice president of marketing, and was named president of Hooker Case Goods earlier this year.
"Although we are disappointed to see Bruce leave, we accept his decision and are extremely appreciative of his contributions at every level," said Paul Toms, chairman and CEO. "Under his leadership we have repositioned and strengthened the product line, opened multiple Top 100 retailers and developed many of the future leaders of the company. He has been a joy to work with and we wish him well in his future endeavors."
Cohenour said he had the highest regard for the company and was "gratified to have played a role in positioning the company well for both near and long-term success."
Hooker said there are no immediate plans to fill the position.
We would love your feedback!
