Montreal —
Bruce Cazenave, president and CEO of Dorel Juvenile Group, has left the company.
The juvenile group, which includes Dorel Juvenile USA, markets Cosco, Safety 1st, Eddie Bauer and Disney Baby products. Parent company Dorel Inds. said Cazenave left to pursue other opportunities.
While a search for a replacement is under way, Camillo Lisio, Dorel's chief operating officer, will oversee the division.
"We have an excellent senior management team in place at DJG USA to handle day-to-day affairs. I know they will be entirely effective during this transition period," Lisio said.
In addition to the Juvenile Group, Dorel's diverse portfolio of brands includes ready-to-assemble furniture, sold by its Ameriwood Inds. division under the Ameriwood and Altra brands, and Cosco Home & Office goods. Its 2004 sales were $1.7 billion.
