LC Creations, manufacturer and importer of hand-crafted children's furniture and accessories, has signed a licensing agreement with author/illustrator Todd Parr. The collection will debut at the February Toy Fair in New York.
The Todd Parr collection will include tables, chairs, toy chests, step stools, lamps, rugs, storage options, bookcases and a room-in-a-box program. The room-in-a-box will include a mini-armoire shipped with a step stool, hangers, small tissue box and shelf with a suggested retail of about $250. Price points will start at $20 for smaller items.
"Todd already has a great following and his art work is a perfect fit for our furniture," said Chris Ferrarese, president of LC Creations. "All the colors work with each other and it's a great synergy. With the room-in-a-box, you get a lot of product but a child's room wouldn't be saturated with it."
Ferrarese expects the line to be a hit with his customers and also with Todd Parr enthusiasts. Parr has an Emmy-nominated animated kid's show, "ToddWorld," which airs on TLC and Discovery Kids. His work also has been translated to products like puzzles, games and plush.
LC Creations has been successful with its other licensed lines including Maisy and Save the Children, and the company works with artists such as Barbara Culp, Michael Sparks and Franchelle Contreras.
The company recently launched a new Web site, lccreationsllc.com. The site features a consumer side and a dealer portal.
