LANCASTER, Pa.—Gear and toy designer, Chicco has introduced the Cortina Together double stroller, which accommodates one or two KeyFit infant car seats.
Unlike other front-to-back strollers that require extra components to add a second car seat, the Cortina Together features a unique and convenient one-hand activation system. Simply fold the front seat forward and click in the second KeyFit car seat. Both the front and rear wheels offer suspension, the front-locking wheels swivel, and there are one-touch linked rear brakes.
Other parent-friendly details include a large, zipper-accessible storage basket, all-wheel suspension, one-touch linked rear brakes, parent organizer and cup holder, swappable child cup holders and optional bumper bars. The rear seat fully reclines, and mesh windows protect babies yet let them see their surroundings.
The Cortina Together has an anodized aluminum frame, chiseled tubing profile, tailored yarn-dyed woven fabrics and premium Italian style. Handle grips are ergonomic and have three height positions, and the parents’ tray has two cup holders and an enclosed storage compartment.
The stroller has a one-hand fold and automatic storage latch, and stands on its own when folded. It has a narrow width, so it fits through standard door frames, and is 15% lighter than comparable double strollers on the market, at under 35 pounds.
The double stroller will hit the marketplace in April in the Fuego, Romantic and Cubes patterns. Made for children from birth to 36 months and up to 40 pounds in each seat, it retails for $300.
