NEW YORK —
Skip Hop has ended its licensing relationship for infant bedding and will manufacture and distribute its branded crib bedding in-house.
Skip Hop’s best-selling Mod Dot pattern, first introduced in 2008, will be updated and available in April 2010.
The luxurious 300 thread count sateen four-piece set, which includes a comforter, bumper, sheet and reversible crib skirt, will retail for $199. Individual crib sheets and cotton blankets will be sold separately.
Skip Hop will debut additional sets and coordinating accessories soon afterwards, and they will be available online and at stores nationwide.
“Skip Hop is excited about bringing our on-trend, affordable and luxurious bedding to the market,” said Ellen Diamant, founder and creative director.
“We look forward to bringing our unique design perspective to this exciting category.”
