Fall show sees resurgence of traditional styles

Corsican showed this crib design with a floral and vine pattern on the tall end panels, $3,500.

Coaster's new girls' group features heart-shaped knobs on the dresser and underbed storage and heart cut-outs on the headboard. The twin bed, night stand, dresser, mirror and chest retail for $799.

The rotating Glove chair by Klote Kids has thick padding and is offered in several fabric choices, $269.

Opus's new group, Tahoe, has a rugged style, perfect for rough and tumble boys. The 12-piece group has a bunk bed, $699, and a twin bed, $299 without the underbed storage.

Summer Breeze, from Legacy Classic Kids, features stackable storage units. Shown here in pine are three SKUs — a door chest, book case and drawer that can be configured to meet any kids' needs.

Art deco shapes and a two-tone finish grace Acme's newest collection. Crafted from rubber wood solids with a natural finish highlighted by walnut accents, the group includes a twin bed, $349, that's also available as a full.

Even the youngest sports fans can show their spirit with Baseline's child-sized logo rockers, $119. The rockers, like their adult counterparts, $199, are available for all of the NFL teams and six baseball teams and are suitable for kids ages 2–8.

Flying Geese is a new pattern from Company C, available in blue, purple or green that reverses to stripes. Pieces can be mixed and matched with other collections, as shown, for an even more personalized look.

Lasting Impressions is a seven-piece cherry and mahogany collection from American Woodcrafters. Molded drawer fronts, a rich finish, curved fronts and vintage looking hardware draw the eye.

Kids looking for storage and functionality will love Tradewins' Echo Falls collection. The full bed, $499, has underbed storage at the footboard and the bookcase headboard is wired for iPod speakers.

A patented corner Crow's Nest headboard adds a unique dimension to Vaughan's medium-finished Pirate's Cove group. The retail is $999 as shown.

Vaughan-Bassett's 200-SKU Shaker collection includes several beds and scaled-down case goods for youth. A twin bed with panel headboard and four storage drawers retails for $899.

Gautier's whimsical car chair is offered in a vivid red leather-touch fabric with tufted accents on the chair back and four soft wheels.

Holland House's La Belle is a traditional girls' group with a twin-over-full bunk, daybed, vanity and more with beaded details and carvings. The nightstand has a secret drawer in the base and the top felt-lined drawer has outlets for charging cell phones or iPods.

Vignettes showed its Darcy Road collection in a cherry-type finish. The loft bed can break down to twin beds for more flexibility, $1,499 as shown.

Arbor Youth from New Classic Home Furnishings is a contemporary low-profile group in a deep espresso with nickel-finish pulls. A full panel bed retails for $299.

Tvilum-Scanbirk's prototype Mixi collection offers various storage options in a clean, modular design. The twin bed can be positioned in two heights and is shown here with two mobile toy boxes with optional orange panels.

Gone Fishing debuted from Dreamfit. The five-piece twin set, $200, consists of a comforter, sham, dust ruffle and two dec pillows. A full size set is $250.

Linwood Furniture showed the Villages at Gulf Breeze, a cottage collection featuring pieces that are well-suited for kids' rooms.

Primex introduced its reclaimed Rustica collection for youth, which is made in Latin America and features a weathered, distressed look. The finish shown is denim, but retailers can customize the color.
