Are you a star? A super-star retailer, that is.
Not based (necessarily) on how much business you do, but about how you go about doing it. If so, you might just be a Retail Star.
Retail Stars is a new feature we are debuting at Kids Today to highlight some of the retailers in our industry who are doing things right. We are looking for stores that are successful, innovative and involved in their communities — and making a difference in the lives of their customers.
Sounds like you, doesn’t it?
Nomination forms are going out this month on our e-mail newsletters, at KidsTodayOnline.com, on Twitter and Facebook and anywhere else we can think to put it — so don’t miss this opportunity to nominate yourself.
We will use the winners as the basis for retailer profiles that we will do in the future, so your one submission may just be your ticket to the big time!
All kidding aside, the 20 Stars we select will all receive a certificate, and a customized press release that you can share with your local media outlets to help you get the word out about what a Star you are. I can tell you, having done a similar feature in Home Accents Today for years, the amount of press these releases generate is really pleasantly surprising.

If you would like to also submit images of your store, please e-mail Managing Editor Gerri Hunt at gerri.hunt@reedbusiness.com. We will use the photos to help us make our determinations, and to help illustrate the feature when it runs in our May issue.
